Lovely house but with a few quirks.
Positive: The communication from the host was great. The place was for the most part very clean. The breakfast and coffee/tea items they left were good. The house was really lovely overall. Great location. The shower is very nice and lovely to use.
Negative: The back patio /outside space had a ring camera that kept going blue (which supposedly means recording) that we weren't warned about. It felt like a breach of privacy. The bed comforters had bed stains (both rooms). The pillows were only the feather ones (which is a matter of preference). The mattress was covered with a sheet instead of a fitted sheet. The house looks like it has been done up, but in a lot of spots the paint was peeling (especially ceiling) it peels. One of the bedroom windows has a wonky curtain and one of the window handles isn't screwed in properly. The bathroom had a big spider in a corner by the bath, but it's the downside of summer. Someone came knocking asked to drop linen at 9:15am. Could definitely wait until guests leave. The dishwasher was full when got there (clean dishes). The couches have stains (but it's mostly a wear and tear thing).

Hidden gem
Positive: The cottage has been very tastefully upgraded. It is on a very quiet street tucked away from any hustle & bustle but a perfect location for the centre of town. The decor is lovely it's extremely comfortable and very well equipped. It has some pubs and shops nearby but the centre of town and the riverside walk is only a very short walk away. There's a cosy living area, a well lit spacious kitchen diner with great bi fold doors to the courtyard with outside seating. The bedrooms are stylish and very comfortable. Overall, we had a fantastic stay throughly enjoyed all chester has to offer. If returning to the chester, this property would be our 1st choice to stay.
Negative: There's nothing not to like about the property it's fab.
But you should be aware it is a very narrow street there was always parking available but you do need to use your reversing skills to get out.
On our visit, we couldn't find a hairdryer. I'm sure this was an oversight as the property was so well equipped, and it in no way affected our stay.

Family trip to Chester to visit nearby relatives
Positive: The cottage was beautifully decorated and was in a fantastic location to walk into Chester and also to visit our relatives in nearby Connors Quay. Beds were comfortable and the provision of breakfast was an added bonus. Great communication from the owners.
Negative: Two minor things:
The step down, coming out of the master bedroom to get to the bathroom made me a little nervous as my parents who are in their 70’s were staying in that room and I was concerned that they might trip down the stairs in the night.
Lounge was very dark even during the day due to the big hedges opposite the front of the house. Minor things that would not put me off staying here again though.
Good to know
